CHARACTER NAME: Vanessa "Nessie" Kapatelis
CHARACTER SERIES: Wonder Woman v2 (DC Comics 1987 to 2006)
[OOC]
This is the permissions list for OOC (out of character), activity.
Backtagging: I am always down for continuing a thread to a logical end. I don't care if it takes you a week or more to tag back -- real life happens, and it takes precedence over RP.
Threadhopping: Yes, of course! The first comm I was active in, back in the day, had a rule about taking adult content off comm and onto personal journals. Making a fresh post to continue a thread, for whatever reason, is cool with me.
Fourthwalling: Acceptable, since Vanessa's former identity as the supervillain Silver Swan is well-known in the DCU. (If I am playing her as a teenager, that is before the Silver Swan mess and it would not be appropriate.)
Offensive subjects: adult Vanessa's story has themes of mind control, forced surgical alteration, sexual coercion, and a person being trafficked (for the superpowers granted by their cybernetic implants). I can handle these themes with a little warning that's where you want to go (a PM will be appreciated).
[IC]
This is the permissions list for IC (in-character), activity:
Hugging this character: Go for it, she's quite affectionate.
Kissing this character: Platonic kisses are go; romantic kisses ok if that's the meme.
Flirting with this character: Yup, she's down. Character is a straight, cis female, so she'll flirt with men and gently turn down any women. (I don't think she's ever had an enby show interest.)
Fighting with this character: Teenage version - no, she's not very good. Adult version - yeah, she's able to defend herself. Silver Swan - yes, if you want to fight a supervillain with a long range sonic scream, go ahead.
Injuring this character: Down for it. No limits, though a heads up that maiming might occur will be appreciated.
Killing this character: Sure. It doesn't have to count for canon to her personal storyline, so that's fine.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Yes, but she does have some fairly robust mental defenses after being the target of Edgar Cizko (Dr. Psycho), a telepathic supervillain with a grudge against her. You can probably slip in with Vanessa unawares, but once she catches on she would likely be able to kick you out of her mind.
Warnings: Again, the "adult" and "still Silver Swan" versions of Vanessa that I can play deal with themes of mind control, forced surgical alteration, sexual coercion, and human trafficking. These things don't have to come up, and I will warn if they do.
The "teenage" version of Vanessa has not yet experienced these things and will likely be safe for most people to play with. She did have a close friend who committed suicide, but that is unlikely to come up unless the other player brings up similar themes of death and loss.
